Organic Webbing Generation
Photographic Reflexes/Adaptive Muscle Memory
Spider-Camouflage/Invisibility
Regenerative Healing Factor
PHOTOGRAPHIC REFLEXES/ADAPTIVE MUSCLE MEMORY
The superpower that separates Ben from other spider-people is his photographic reflexes. He can watch another person's physical movements and duplicate them without any practice or training, no matter how complex. Ben is able to duplicate almost any physical activity after seeing it done by someone else only once. He can use this ability to master complex gymnastics routines and acrobatic maneuvers, play difficult pieces of music, or even duplicate Michael Jackson's dance moves. But above all, he mainly uses this ability to copy the combat skills of expert martial artists from around the world, becoming incredibly skilled at fighting, blocking and attacking. By reviewing recordings of movements and practicing them frequently, Ben has countless moves and skills stored into his muscle memory.
ORGANIC WEBBING GENERATION
Ben has the ability to organically produce silk webbing from glands within his forearms, limited by his body's health and nutrition. These organic webs have many of the same properties as Peter Parker's artificial webs, such as incredible tensile strength and electric insulation/conduction, and are released from spinnerets in his wrists.

ABILITIES:

Gifted Combatant/Martial Artist: Ben is highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Prior to receiving his bite, he had some Taekwondo training, although after receiving advanced training from Lía Carlos, and Akari Teshima, he has grown increasingly proficient and skilled in martial arts. And thanks to his photographic reflexes, he's also learned various advanced techniques and methods from watching other expert martial artists in action, and martial arts movies. Blending these together into his own fighting style that compliments his powers, knowledge and skill, Ben is a highly skilled and formidable fighter.
Proficient Swordsman: Thanks to training from his older sister Akari and photographic reflexes, Ben has become quite proficient in using his katana, being able to go toe-to-toe with her in a sword fight and several other expert swordsmen.
Expert Marksman: Ben is also highly accurate when he projects his webbing, partly thanks to having used his photographic reflexes to obtain the impeccable aim of heroes such as Hawkeye. He usually shoots to blind, silence, or restrain his opponents in battle.
Gifted Combat Tactician: Thanks to his photographic reflexes, years of combat experience and training from both a Black Widow and his older sister (who was previously a ninja), Ben has become a formidable combat tactician, being able to come up with strategies for fights quickly and put them into practice when needed. His tactician abilities frequently come into play when he is able to predict an opponent's next move, thanks to his photographic reflexes.
Master Acrobat: Thanks to his great strength, phenomenal equilibrium and photographic reflexes, Teshima is an excellent athlete, excelling in all gymnastic fields and being able to perform every acrobatic stunt ever performed, including others that can never be performed by even an Olympic acrobat.
Inventor/Engineer: Ben has learned engineering and mechanics from Peter Parker, being able to build his own gadgets and fix his webshooters and armors. However, it is important to note that he's not nearly as smart as the latter, only just barely being able to make upgrades to his modders and new suits on his own.
Bilangual: In addition to speaking English, he can also speak fluent Japanese.
Skilled Photographer: Ben has a passion for photography and videography, and has honed his skills in photography for years.
Gifted Video Editor: Ben is a freelance video editor.

EQUIPMENTWeb-Modders: Wrist-worn devices that instantaneously specializes and modifies his webbing whenever he needs to. When Ben releases his webs out of his wrists, they enter a small pipe and into the device itself. Once inside, it will be instantly specialized and come out of the modder's nozzle as specialized webbing; long story short, regular webs go in, specialized webs come out. Initially created for the purpose of Taser Webs, he has now with help upgraded it to contain more features. Current specializations are Impact Webs, Web Bombs, Trip Mines, Taser/Electric Webs, Flame Webs, and Ice Webs. Additionally, he can also modify it to fire webs such as Splitter Webs and Ricochet Webs.
Katana: For his 19th birthday, Ben received a custom-made katana from his sister. Though he is proficient in its use, he rarely brings it out on patrol as he has no need for it, and only brings it along when fighting enemies he thinks warrant its use, such as Hand ninjas or the Scarlet Spider, and even then limits it to mostly defense and non-lethal attacks.
A.I.M. Dimensional Travel Watch:
In December 2018, Ben's first exposure to the multiverse was through Doctor Octopus' scheme to travel through other dimensions to steal tech from other universes in order to build the ultimate multiversal weapon, and A.I.M. built several Dimensional Travel Watches so that their Beekeepers could follow him and assist the Doctor when needed. Ben stole one of these to follow the Doctor in an attempt to foil him, and after destroying the weapon, he has held on to it ever since, occasionally making a visit to the multiverse with it in order to explore the different realities, indulge in photography, videography, or to meet new Spider-People and befriend them.

SUITS

CLASSIC SUIT

The first suit designed by Ben and manufactured by SHIELD. Shortly after teaming up with SHIELD for the first time, Lia stated she could get something done about a suit - and after submitting a design he'd sketched up, the Classic Suit was made and thus became the first proper spider-suit worn by the Jade-Spider. Considered to be an iconic design.

STEALTH SUIT

Sandsorn Suit.

Designed and created by his best friend Peter Parker, this suit was made to enhance Ben's stealth capabilities, featuring sound-absorbent shoes and gloves for crawling around, infrared-thermography-vision lenses to identify targets, Spider-Tracers and Spider-Drones for surveillance and espionage.

IRON SPIDER

Iron Spider Mark II.

Pictured design is Mark II, but Mark I designed and built by Peter Parker. A highly armored suit, this comes with features such as a highly advanced heads-up display, four retractable spider legs deployed from the back of the suit and bulletproof plating. Mark II was designed and created by Ben, and came with artificial recreations of most of his powers as this was built when his powers were gone. The recreations included digital Spider-Sense, adhesive boots and gloves with super strength, web shooters, and camouflage mode to name a few.

UPGRADED SUIT

Origins/Ultimate Suit.

Design by Giuliazobeide (https://www.fiverr.com/giuliazobeide/draw-your-own-spidersona) and DispenserSoda (Instagram), reference sheet by DispenserSoda.

Manufactured in early 2021, this is an upgraded version of the Classic Suit, taking elements from his previous suits and fusing them together to create a newer, highly durable and flexible suit. Features and capabilities include: heads-up display, infrared vision, fireproof, high resistance to sharp materials such as knives, swords and other blades, and built-in glider wings (dubbed the Web Wings) that Ben can deploy at any time. This is his current suit, and his favorite one too.

PROGRAMMABLE MATTER SUIT

Legacy Suit.

Being owed a favor from the Tinkerer and the Underground after saving them from death, Ben cashed in the favor in 2023 by asking the Tinkerer to build a suit to help combat his clone, Scarlet Spider, who at the time was bonded to Venom. The suit materializes in a fashion similar to nanotechnology, is highly durable (bulletproof plating) and is equipped with Anti-Venom weaponry, including four spider-arms that are deployed from the back, similar to the Iron Spider suits, that are capable of firing webs, as well as sonic pulse blasts and beams. However, the suit has a limited amount of sonic energy.

LEGACY SUIT

Legacy Suit.

A suit designed by Ben and manufactured by Earth-255's Phoebe Parker, Peter Parker's younger sister. The suit's color scheme serves as a tribute to both his late parents, whose favorite color was white, and to Peter Parker, with the use of black being a reference to the Stealth Suit he made. This suit was worn to the final battle with a brainwashed Scarlet Spider, with the final aim of snapping her out of her brainwashing and bringing back her true personality once and for all. The suit also comes Web Wings like the Upgraded Suit and with four spider-arms deployed from the back, with similar functions to the Programmable Matter Suit - except that the suit fires webs and electricity instead of sonic energy.

PERSONALITYBen is a usually very sociable person. His usual demeanor is characterized by a friendly and upbeat mood. Though appearing to be mostly extroverted, he's better described as an ambivert: confident and outgoing in most situations, although requiring some moments alone from time to time. It is notable that his more sociable side is in control most of the time, though. While he's quite sociable and not really introverted, as Jade-Spider he shows a much more extroverted and confident side to him, frequently interacting with civilians and cracking wise in the middle of battles. More often than not, he does it to throw enemies off balance and to mess with them, but sometimes he uses it to mask his own insecurities. But much like other Spider-People, whenever he gets serious, he drops the quips and does whatever it takes to achieve his goal.Ben possesses a strong desire to help people, as well as a strong sense of responsibility and justice, always seeking to do what is right simply because it's the right thing to do. He believes, much like other spiders, that with great power, comes great responsibility, and has devoted himself to living by that motto, believing that if somebody has the power to do something to help, it is their responsibility to do so. He is incredibly selfless, and will rush in and risk his own life to save others without a shadow of hesitation. He is also fiercely protective of his friends and family, and will do anything he can to keep them out of harm's way. As a young man who's lost a lot of things and people, he does his best to make sure no one else close to him will have to die. Although, he fully trusts those who he knows can take care of themselves, such as his former legal guardian Lía Carlos or more recently, his older half-sister, Akari (also known as the Ronin). However, this protectiveness can sometimes also become overprotectiveness, and also doubles as a huge flaw of his - namely his fear of losing the ones he loves, and having to feel the pain of grief all over again often making bad decisions out of fear of losing them, often detrimental to his goals and sometimes costing him essential victories as Jade-Spider. One such decision can for example be barring someone close to him from helping him out during a fight by pushing them away - this can be done in several ways, such as restraining them with webs so he can fight them alone, or even knocking them out with a pressure point strike learned from his sister. He may know that this person is most likely essential to winning a fight against someone and will not be able to take them on alone, but even with this knowledge, if he genuinely believes that someone will not survive a fight he will do whatever he can to keep them out of it, even acting outright hostile just to keep them out of the fight. However, this flaw is in remission following his final skirmish with the Scarlet Spider - he still fears losing those close to him, but he does not let it affect his judgement as strongly as it did previously.Additionally, he has a bit of a tendency to live in the past - often dwelling about his failures, most notably failing to save his loved ones and losing them, directly tying into his fear of loss and fueling it.He also has a bit of a workaholism streak - whenever a highly dangerous, huge, or deeply personal threat comes along, his sense of work-life balance starts to fade away, neglecting and pushing away everything else, instead prioritizing Jade-Spider and eliminating the threat as soon as possible and however he can to the point where it affects his own life, such as his grades and GPA slipping, or losing freelance gigs he was hired for. While not easy to anger, his rage isn't something you should try your luck with. Ben shows a much more darker side of him when pushed to the limit of his anger, and he gets notably more violent and brutal, going as far as breaking bones in his worst cases (though he always refrains from crossing the line by killing). Additionally, his rage can sometimes also be a flaw, as he may sometimes stop thinking rationally and begin acting off of his emotions - also leading him to make impulsive decisions or leaving plenty of room for someone to catch him off guard in a fight if he doesn't hit them first. To summarize: friendly, confident and sociable most of the time, although prone to having introverted moments. But most importantly: selfless, compassionate and courageous, with an indomitable desire and will to save people and protect the city he loves, much like the other spiders spread out across the multiverse.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Ben was born on the 1st of January 2004 to a 1st-generation Japanese-American (一世, Issei) father and a Japanese mother, Cade Chrysler and Junshi Teshima. His parents were both police detectives - Cade was a field agent of SHIELD, while his mother was a private investigator in Japan. After the latter gave birth to Ben, they both retired so their son could have a normal life as possible when he was born. However, their retirement plans were cut short when Ben was only 3 years old, when both of them suddenly rejoined SHIELD (with his mother being recruited in as well) as intelligence officers. Before Ben was born, Junshi lived in Japan and was married to another man and had a daughter: Akari. However, Junshi's work investigating what she believed was more than a mere Yakuza faction had put her directly in the crosshairs of the Hand, a ninja clan who valued power and control over all else, and had the alleged ability to resurrect the dead. After coming dangerously close to exposing them and their existence, they sent ninjas to her home to kill her and her family. Junshi survived, but both her husband and Akari were lost. At least, that's what Ben was told.Overwhelmed by the loss of her family, Junshi quit her career as a private eye, walking around for years with constant self-loathing following her around before eventually meeting Cade. After a while, the two fell in love, and Junshi decided to give parenting a second chance, giving birth to Benjiro Chrysler (Ben would go by the Teshima surname in his later years). For 13 years, Ben lived a normal life, developing the usual teenage boy interest such as pop culture and gaming, while also developing a special interest in filmmaking, videography, YouTube content and photography... and birds, looking up to figures such as famous YouTuber Jacksepticeye and world-famous filmmaker Quentin Beck. However, one day, his life would be irreversibly changed when a genetically engineered spider crawled out of the sewers and into a subway station, it crawled into Ben's jacket; and shortly after, it would bite him. Soon, he developed spider-like abilities, including the ability to crawl on walls, fire webs from his wrists, camouflage and mimic any physical action after watching it being performed once.Believing he could go viral with these powers and wanting to feel the thrill, fame and admiration of being a superhero, he impulsively pledged to become a crime-fighter, though as mentioned earlier, it was not quite for the right reasons.Within a short amount of time, New York's "Spider-Man" went viral, and became famous and quickly admired. However, there would be a massive downside to his fame: One day, while out swinging from webs, Spider-Man was hit by a tranquilizer dart and abducted by Advanced Idea Mechanics, who were the masterminds behind the spider who bit him, where he was introduced to Doctor Octopus. Learning that the spider that bit him was part of a project to create their own brand of super soldiers, Ben was forced through a series of grueling and cruel tests in order to gauge just what kind of abilities he had gained, and how much the spider bite had changed him.Ben was eventually able to escape from captivity (thanks to discovering his ability to turn invisible), and alerted SHIELD. In exchange for his help, they would give him his first, full-on superhero suit (Classic Suit), and with it he'd embrace the name of Spider-Man, officially using it as his moniker. Sneaking back into the facility and after an intense fight with the leader of AIM, Doctor Octopus, he helped secure the spiders, delivering them to SHIELD.It was also around this time that Ben learned how to properly fight. Receiving training from Lía Carlos, a close friend of his and his parents - and also Earth-04's Black Widow, his fight skills began to grow, partly thanks to his photographic reflexes. He also managed to make new friends, namely Peter Parker, a boy his age in his class. He quickly bonded with all of them, while balancing his life as a crime-fighter and high school student. However, all the while, Doc Ock was starting to figure out who the boy behind the mask was. Observing the spider's routine and actions for several months, it wouldn't be long before he finally figured out who the Jade-Spider truly was.During his time in New York, Spider-Man's first de facto arch-nemesis would be Mysterio - alias Quentin Beck, a former Hollywood special effects artist turned supervillain who used his expertise in illusions to commit crimes since the early 2010s. Having been noticed by AIM, impressed by his illusions, namely his skill with robots and chemistry, they offered to upgrade his tech in exchange for a temporary job at AIM, where he developed a new revolutionary holographic illusion technology for both the company and himself to use for their own purposes.Spider-Man and Mysterio's scuffles were originally contained to regular crimes such as bank and museum heists, but after continued foliage of AIM's plans, the organization paid Beck a handsome fee to help them with their operations again for a while, and as a result, fought a lot more often than they already did.Mysterio would be responsible for sullying Spider-Man's reputation for quite a while, often framing him for crimes that he didn't commit with his lifelike illusions. Thankfully, the hero would be able to prove his innocence time after time - though unfortunately, the rumors generated by Mysterio's illusions would stick around long after they were debunked, sewing skepticism and distrust in a good portion of the city and were also good fuel for J. Jonah Jameson's "menace" rants about the hero for a while. One day, during a time when some assassins were sent by AIM to eliminate Ben's parents, after they obtained some evidence that could be used against A.I.M, Spider-Man's identity was revealed to his parents after his mask was blown off his face by an explosion. While initially rattled and shocked, reacting with worry and some form of reluctance, they later accepted it, supporting his desire to save lives like them (although not without huge amounts of worry).Quite some time passed as Ben fought crime in New York City as Spider-Man. But it wouldn't take long before the tragedies would start to strike. In late 2017, Ben stole a flash-drive from one of A.I.M. bases on a mission, containing vital info to the organization, with info such as AIM's dealings with terrorist and criminal organizations, and other things that might help destroy the organization. In retaliation, Mysterio, sent by Doctor Octopus, kidnaps his grandfather and demands the flash drive in return for his life. Ben returns the flash drive, but when Mysterio handed over his grandfather, he would fade away, revealed to be a mere illusion - his grandfather was still held captive, and Mysterio never planned to give him back in the first place. Enraged, Spider-Man engaged in battle with Mysterio. During the fight, Mysterio would constantly taunt him, practically egging him on to try and hit him, knowing that the boy was too hopped up on rage to think clearly and strategically. So when Mysterio clouded Spider-Man's vision with smoke sent robotic duplicates to bum rush him, once the hero caught eye of the villain fleeing the scene, he would leap forward, throwing a somewhat stronger punch than usual, meant to shatter the fishbowl helmet to pieces - however, as he did so, the "Mysterio" he punched would reveal itself to be an illusion: a holographic projection of the villain, projected onto his grandfather's body - Ben had fooled by Mysterio's illusions into accidentally killing his own grandfather. Overwhelmed by guilt, grief and anger, Ben then gave up the mask and returned to his normal life.In early 2018, after Ben turned 14, Nick Fury finally convinces Ben to return to being Spider-Man, renewing his alliance with SHIELD and reconciling with his close ones.In March of 2018, after saving New York from a city-destroying threat for the first time, he decided to go fully independent and become his own hero without having to look up to others. And thus, to help fully give himself his own unique identity, he discarded the name of Spider-Man and adopted the name Jade-Spider, taking it from his grandfather's jade necklace. On the 11th of May, 2019, on the second anniversary of Ben's bite, SHIELD engages in a final battle with A.I.M., having destroyed most of their resources and bases. All the while, Ben fought a final battle with Doc Ock. Shortly after the final remnants of A.I.M. were taken captive by SHIELD, Jade-Spider finally defeats Doctor Octopus, locking him up for good.A.I.M. was locked up on the Raft, guarded heavily by SHIELD. The then-15-year old continued his semi-alliance with SHIELD and his career as Jade-Spider, fighting criminals and supervillains alike, while also sitting through high school. This alliance faded a bit though, as Ben had taken a larger solo route over the past year. However, shortly after the capture, Doc Ock had set up one last act of defiance and spite; weeks after the capture of A.I.M., a bioweapon, nicknamed Devil's Breath, was released across the city by Mysterio on the Doctor's orders. The ensuing sickness that befell the civilians of New York led to the entire city on lockdown and quarantine - and in the ensuing chaos, Doc Ock and four other supervillains: Scorpion, Vulture, Green Goblin and Shocker. Recruiting Mysterio as well, Doc Ock united all of them and founded the Sinister Six, with one common goal: screw over New York City and kill Jade-Spider, almost succeeding in the latter during one fight.Though, with help from Peter and Lìa, Ben would successfully take them all out - one by one. Though out of every battle, perhaps the one that took the greatest toll on him - physically and emotionally - was his final bout with Mysterio. Seeing and fighting through his illusions, Jade-Spider delivered a serious beating to the illusionist - leaving the villain at his mercy. However, not wanting to inflict the same fate Mysterio tricked him into inflicting upon his grandfather and not wanting to kill someone again after having already done so once (even if unintentional), he ultimately spares Mysterio and simply make him give up the location of Doc Ock.A cure had been created for the disease, but Doc Ock managed to steal it for his own, planning to destroy it. Confronting him for the very last time, Ben finally defeated him, sent him to prison and retrieved the cure.Despite this, though, Peter Parker was one of the many who had been infected; and by the time Ben had already gotten the cure, he was dying. And if he used the cure to save him then, there wouldn't be enough to cure the others.Ultimately, he chose the latter, unwillingly his best friend for the city. Grieving for a quite long period of time, he eventually recovered and decided to keep going to honor Peter's legacy and wishes.Since then, Ben has faced many challenges, such as a group of elementally-powered supervillains that all turned out to be his bullies from school, a female clone of himself, and more. What challenges that come next were uncertain, but one thing was for certain: he would never back down from them, no matter how new and challenging they seemed. In 2020, though, he had to face his clone again, Amaya (alias Scarlet Spider), after she broke out of jail. And following a long period of terror that caused the destruction of countless buildings and the deaths of thousands, he was injected with a toxin that completely and permanently destroyed his DNA that was responsible of his power. He went AWOL, but passed on the mantle onto Lía Carlos, who gained powers earlier the same year.Following this, though, Scarlet escaped again - attacking him while he was attending the Midtown High Winter Ball and killing countless students and chaperones in attendance, every last one of his friends included. Going off to face her, she was able to knock him into a coma. Shortly after, she tried breaking into his apartment to end him, but was met with a fight from his parents, who fought like hell in order to try and save their son from certain death: unfortunately, though, they would fail, with Amaya killing both of them.Ironically, though, them losing the fight ended up saving their son: killing her genetic template's parents caused Ben's memories of them to start flooding through her mind. Awakening perhaps the last piece of Ben's personality left inside of her, she was overwhelmed with grief, shame and remorse, later repenting for her mistakes by transferring her Spider-DNA to him, thus giving him his powers back and draining her own, before turning herself in to the police.Following this, Ben returned in full as Jade-Spider - but due to the wound of his parents dying still fresh, he was not quite the same spider for a while, as he spent a long time reeling from the loss. However, shortly afterwards, Ben gained a newfound purpose after Nick Fury let him know the real reason his mother joined SHIELD well over a decade ago - Akari Teshima was, in fact, not dead. Her mother had faked her death, forged a new identity for her and sent her away when she was only two years old, after his mother got entangled with a dangerous group of foes that retaliated by killing her first husband and attempting to abduct her daughter, believing she was unable to protect her daughter. Akari spent 6 years living under a fake name in an orphanage, before eventually vanishing one day when she was only 8 years old.Not only wishing to try and find and save what may very well, be the only family he has left but also desperate to not be the last of his bloodline, Ben began continuing the search for his long-lost older half-sister, picking up where his mother had left off, beginning to analyze her files and learning of the events that led to her getting sent away, and the clan that kidnapped her, the Hand - a ninja clan that values power over anything else, and with the alleged ability to resurrect the dead. Simultaneously, throughout January and February, he caught glimpses of a new vigilante wandering around New York, one that was constantly eyeing him from afar, then vanishing as soon as he caught sight of her.Soon enough, he'd also get involved with the Hand, a clan of ninjas that values power over anything else, and with to the ability to resurrect the dead. This is also when he'd finally formally meet the vigilante attempting to take them down, who'd also been the same one stalking him - a woman who went by the name of Yami (闇). Teaming up, they'd spend the next year destroying their operations in New York. However, soon enough, Ben would find out about the vigilante's unsavoury past as a former assassin of the Hand - though he did not judge her, she had a hard time accepting herself, and pushed him away to try and protect him, which ironically only got her into more trouble when she didn't have his help. During this time, Ben also found out Yami's surname - Teshima. His mother's surname.Soon enough, Akari would reveal herself to be his long-lost half-sister, Akari Teshima - long thought to be dead. Unhesitatingly accepting her as his older sister, they formed a close bond, becoming practically inseparable, and now protect New York together as both the Jade-Spider, and the Ronin, having changed her vigilante name sometime later - Ben would also go on to start going by his mother's surname, to further solidify their connection as siblings and family. However, in January 2023, an old wound has reopened - the Hand set their sights on resurrecting and brainwashing a repentant Scarlet Spider, to defeat him and his sister once and for all - both of the Teshima siblings worked relentlessly to make sure that their mother's killer never has a chance to wreak havoc again, but failed to keep her from being broken out and ending up in the Hand's clutches.Frustrated, hopeless and knowing he failed, Ben dreaded the inevitable rematch of the decade... Jade-Spider vs. Scarlet Spider. In June 2023, after Scarlet Spider was transported to another dimension and slaughtered 4 Spider-People from the Spider-Society sent to apprehend her, Ben was reluctantly and begrudgingly recruited by Miguel O'Hara of Earth-928 into the Spider-Society to s

Much like the other dimensions scattered across the Spider-Verse, Earth-255 has its own distinctive art style to separate it from the rest. This dimension is notable for its high school teenage drawing/doodle/sketch style (highly inspired by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem), characterized by a sketchy, somewhat painterly yet imperfect aesthetic with heavy use of hand-drawn elements such as doodles, sketch lines, scribbles and brush strokes. Like all the other dimensions, it contains its use of comic book tropes such as onomatopoeia for actions such as impacts, thwips, and 2D-animated elements such as motion lines. Though, these elements may appear more imperfect or sketch-like than other universes, again looking like it has been drawn or written by a teenager (taking the form of scribbles and doodles/sketches).

The New York of Earth-255 also has a very unique trait about itself, similar to that of Earth-65 - the color of the city's street lights and skyscraper lights during night can change in accordance with what spiders are active, and operating in what area. Primarily, the city's lights stay green to signify Jade-Spider's activity, but it has also changed to red to signify the Scarlet Spider's presence in the city - often striking fear into the hearts of citizens. However, as of August 2023, the city's lights have primarily been red, green, and blue - looking quite similar to the pixels of a TV-screen close up. And the number in the RGB coloring system required to show these colors are 255 - hence, Earth-255. As such, the green, red and blue skyscraper lights represent Jade-Spider, and his protege, Spider-Woman.

How humans appear in this universe are in similar fashion to the characters in Into and Across the Spider-Verse - following the overall art style of the movies, while also having a few changes in order to accommodate and match the universe they live in. In 255's case, the humans appear to have a slightly hand drawn appearance to them, with a few doodle lines implemented into their appearance here and there. (See below for reference and example)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT EARTH-255

Additional information about Earth-255 worth mentioning is its notable residents and organizations. In NYC's criminal underworld, the three largest organizations are the Hand, the Underground, and the Goblin Nation.A ninja organization seeking immortality and power, the Hand is a clan that has endured for centuries with their reach and influence. They previously held several people and groups within their grip, and operated internationally; although most of their assets were located in New York City. However, the clan has been effectively wiped out and dismantled since June of 2023, with the Scarlet Spider having murdered most of its members and leaders. the clan has overall very little influence and power left in New York, but multiple of their assets and remnants remain, including the Nail - a squad of four elite female ninjas spearheading an effort to try and put what's left of the clan back together. In the meantime, they also spend their time constantly ambushing Jade-Spider and his allies during patrol - with very limited degrees of success. The Underground are the biggest suppliers of illegal weapons and supervillain tech in New York, and practically lead the city's illicit gunrunning operations. Led by Phin Mason, they operate from multiple hidden locations, while also having set up multiple businesses as both legitimate sources of income and fronts - the most notable of these being the Loot Box, a night club for college students who also have an affinity for gaming. The Underground's soldiers regularly commit crimes such as theft, hacking, infiltration of legitimate businesses, extortion, money laundering, and of course, black market weapons sales, illegal high tech weapons sales and supervillain tech commissions. And much like their variants on Earth-1048, they also use programmable matter in their weapons and technology. The Goblin Nation is one of NYC's biggest drug dealers, led by Norman Osborn. After Jade-Spider defeated the Sinister Six, The Green Goblin never came back to Oscorp, instead fleeing to try and rebuild his resources after having practically lost everything. In the process, he was able to sell old yet successful protoypes of the Globulin Green, recruiting followers to his side and building up the Goblin Nation to become NYC's biggest drug trafficker. He sells slightly less powerful variants of the Globulin Green to those who want superpowers, those who want to feel big and strong - indeed, the serum gives them power, but at the cost of their sanity.
